When it comes to online poker games, Texas Hold’em seems to be quite popular since the game holds appeal for the maters of poker and the beginners too. The basic rules and the format of the game are very easy to understand and follow. However, its mastery can take years to practice. So the game is loved by both the beginner level players and also those who have been around for decades now. Since the game of Texas Hold’em is a community game where cards are shared also, this makes the game even more interesting.

The game of Texas Hold’em poker is explained below according to its betting system.

First Bet – The dealer deals each person two cards. These cards are dealt face down and only the person whom the cards belong to can see the cards. While some players may make a blind move, the option of seeing the cards and moving is also there. The player on the left of the dealer will begin the betting. The betting will proceed in this clockwise direction till the last player has placed the bet. Some players will call the bet, some will raise it and others may decide to quit the game completely.

Second Bet – The second bet will come after the dealer has opened up three community cards in the center of the table. These are for everyone to see and use. The motive of the game is to make the best combination hand by using the community cards and the cards in your hand. Once these cards have been seen, the second round of betting begins.

Third Bet – The third bet will follow after the dealer has added another community card to the table.

Fourth bet – The fourth betting will come after the dealer has opened up yet another card on the table.

Fifth bet – Now the final and last round of betting will occur after which the players that have been left in the game will show their hands. The player with the strongest hand will lay claim to the bet money that has accumulated in the center of the table.

This is how one round of the game is over. After this the next round will begin. As you can see, these are not instructions that are difficult to follow or understand. However, this is only the very basic of the game. What one needs to learn by practice is how to identify the tells of the other players, to judge their cards and develop strategies in keeping with it. While these finer points of the game do take several years to master and many practice sessions, this is where the thrill of the game lies.
